Upload a Bigger Avatar Image

Have you seen the bigger avatar pictures?
How did they bypass the size restriction?

NOTE: this only works on Internet Explorer. 99% of IMVU users use Internet Explorer anyway.

There are two parts to having a larger avatar picture.

1) Your picture needs to be in png format. Popular graphics formats are jpg and gif. png is just another format. If your picture isn't in png, convert it.

2) Upload it. When you edit your profile, you see the message: Note: uploaded images have a maximum size of 160x220, can be PNGs, JPGs, or GIFs, and can't be over 39k.

You can upload any size avatar picture (don't over do it!)following these instructions:

1. Log in to IMVU.
2. Visit the forums.
3. Click on Profile at the bottom.
4. Upload without restrictions!

Some places, the picture is cropped to fit 160x220, but other places the full sized picture is shown. This only works in Internet Explorer.
