This page will give you some additional help on customizing your My IMVU Avatar Home Page.

There are numerous visual areas on your home page that contain content such as friends and pictures. Each of these areas is called a panel. Each panel can be customized separately from the other panels. Myimvuavatar.com gives you the codes necessary to customize each panel. There is no need for you to understand or edit the codes. Just copy and paste.

Getting Started

Find the customization you want to add by browsing the myimvuavatar.com site. You already did that, though or you wouldn't be here.

Now that you've found that great customization, click on the box containing the code. The code turns a darker color, usually blue. Now hold down the CTRL key and at the same time, push the C key. Shorthand for this is written <ctrl-C>.

Find the Correct Panel

The instructions on the page with the code you just copied will tell you which panel the code will be used in. Usually it says to paste the code in the About Me panel, but sometimes you can use the code to change any panel.

The panels always have a top label with the name of the panel across the top. Some examples are: About Me, My Interests, My Buddies, and more.

Paste the Code

In the upper tight corner of each panel, there is a button called Edit. Click it and a menu opens. Click on the Edit Custom HTML/CSS menu item.

An empty white text box will be created. Move your cursor into the box and click once. Now hold down the CTRL key and push the V key <crtl-V>. The code should appear in the box.

Now click on Save, and your done!
